New Delhi: Indian pace spreadhead Jasprit Bumrah, was on Thursday nominated as one of the three contenders to win the ICC player of the month award for November following his excellent show in the Perth Test. Bumrah claimed as many as 8 wickets in the Border-Gavaskar series opener against Australia as India raced to a massive 295-run win to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
Bumrah also captained the Indian team in absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, who skipped the first Test match due to the birth of his second child. Apart from the Indian pacer, South African left-arm seamer Marco Jansen and Pakistan’s Haris Rauf are the other two players to be nominated for the award. Bumrah returned to the top of the ICC men’s Test bowling rankings in November and aims to his second player of the month award this time.
