New Delhi: Tamil Thalaivas and Haryana Steelers turned out victorious in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 11 action on Friday at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. Thalaivas outplayed Gujarat Giants by a 40-27 margin in the first contest of the day. Later in the day, Haryana Steelers defeated Patna Pirates 42-36 to extend their top reign in the league phase.
Thalaivas’ player Moein Shafaghi claimed 13 raid points against Gujarat Giants, involving 11 touch points and two bonus points. Sourabh Fagare ably supported Moein in the quest to finish ahead as the raider picked up seven points with four in raid and three in tackle. Himanshu Singh, who started on the bench for Gujarat Giants, turned to be their top-performer with 11 points, including a Super 10 in raiding.
Shivam Patare (11 raid points) and Mohammadreza Shadloui (9 points; 4 raid and 5 tackle) powered Haryana Steelers to a crucial while Devank continued his red-hot form, bagging 13 raid points, though it couldn’t help his team win the match.

Patna Pirates star raider Devank has consolidated his position at the top of the raiders’ list with most points. The 24-year-old has amassed 207 points, becoming the first raider this season to cross 200-point mark in the raiding department. Haryana Steelers pair of Vinay and Shivam Patare added to their tally with three and 11 points, respectively, against Patna Pirates. Vinay has now collected 121 raid points from 17 matches while Shivam has 104 from as many games.
