New Delhi: Chelsea pulled off a stunning comeback to defeat Tottenham 4-3 in a thrilling London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The victory extended Chelsea’s winning streak in the Premier League to four matches, with Cole Palmer’s penalties proving decisive in a high-octane contest.
The game began disastrously for Chelsea, as defensive slips from Marc Cucurella led to early goals for Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski. Solanke slid in a low cross for the opener, and Kulusevski’s curling effort doubled the lead within 11 minutes.
Despite the early setback, Chelsea remained composed and halved the deficit when Jadon Sancho smashed a brilliant long-range strike past Fraser Forster.

Chelsea pressed hard for an equaliser before half-time, with Pedro Neto and Palmer coming close, only to be denied by Forster’s sharp saves. Tottenham also had their chances but couldn’t capitalise, leaving the game finely poised at the break.
The second half saw Chelsea take control. On the hour mark, Sancho won a penalty when Moises Caicedo was clipped inside the box. Palmer confidently converted the spot-kick to make it 2-2. Moments later, Enzo Fernandez, in brilliant form, smashed in a loose ball from close range to give Chelsea the lead.
Tottenham briefly threatened through Son Heung-Min, but Chelsea’s defence stood firm. With time running out, Palmer added another penalty, this time a cheeky Panenka, after Pape Matar Sarr fouled him in the box. Spurs managed a late consolation goal through Son, but it wasn’t enough to deny Chelsea a dramatic victory.
The win pushed Chelsea to second place in the table, two points clear of Arsenal and four behind leaders Liverpool. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s recent slump continued, leaving them in 11th place.
