New Delhi: The Sensex closed 1.59 points higher at 81,510.05 on Tuesday, while the Nifty slipped 8.95 points to close at 24,610.05. Indian indices closed flat on Tuesday owing to the strategy of buying on dips, according to Geohit Financial Services’ head of Research Vinod Nair.
All eyes will be on the new RBI governor Sanjay Malhotra who will take charge on Wednesday and the upcoming November CPI inflation print this week. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on December 11, 2024:
Adani Power: The company has sought concessions from the Centre for its Jharkhand-based power plant which was catering exclusively to Bangladesh until the recent power change in the neighbouring country. The leadership change has led to a payments backlog from Bangladesh for Adani Power.
Adani Ports: The company said it will not utilise a US credit facility for the development of Colombo Port in Sri Lanka. The compoany had withdrawn its funding request from the US International Development Finance Corporation,it said in an exchange filing.
AsianGranito: The company has formed a joint venture with Shudh Investments and UK’s Klyn Stone called Klyn AGl to be based in England and Wales.
BEML: The state-owned entity secured a Rs 83.51 crore contract for a 50-tonne trailer from the defence ministry, according to an exchange filing.
BHEL: The company received a a tax order for Rs 30.59 lakh from Maharashtra sales tax authorities, it said in a regulatory filing.
IGL: The gas utility major’s board gave its nod for a 1:1 bonus share issue, the first by a gas utility major in India. This is also IGL’s first-ever bonus share issuance.
IHCL: The Tata Group company signed a 125-key brownfield property in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. This will be nestled under the Gateway brand, according to a regulatory filing.
Indian Overseas Bank: The state-owned lender received a tax refund order worth Rs 1,359 crore for AY2015–16.
IndiGo: The domestic air carrier will start offering business class seats on select flights on the Delhi-Bengaluru route from next month.
HG Infra: The infrastructure major secured a Rs 763.1 crore order from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
LTI Mindtree: The IT giant has partnered with GitHub Forge to speed up AI-driven Software Engineering.
NBCC: The construction consultancy inked a deal for a Rs 432-crore project commissioned by the Central University of Odisha for its net-zero carbon emission campus.
Reliance Industries: The Mukesh ambani-led conglomerate is eyeing a $3 billion credit facility, making it India’s largest corporate loan since 2023.
Biocon: The Kiran M Shaw led comoany has sold 80 lakh shares in unit Syngene International for Rs 686 crore via open market transactions. Biocon now owns a 52.46 per cent stake in Syngene.
Shapoorji Pallonji Group: The group’s Gwalior unit sold 1,820 sq m of land at Juhu, Mumbai for Rs 455 crore.
Swiggy and Zomato: Stocks of the quick service delivery business owners will be in focus after US-based e-commerce giant Amazon announced a 15-minute quick delivery pilot of daily essentials during its Smbhav Summit on Tuesday.
Waaree Energies: The renewable power company’s stocks spared 5 per cent on Tuesday after it secured an order to supply solar PV modules of up to 1 GW capacity from a domestic entity.
