ISPL 2024 player auction: Abhishek Dalhor becomes most expensive player of season 2

New Delhi: The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), the country’s first-ever tennis ball T10 cricket league has gained a lot of fame with its unique formats. Fans witnessed many thrilling matches during the first season of the league. As the ISPL enters its second season, a player auction was held on December 11 at Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai.

The auction generated a lot of buzz as many franchises battled hard to secure the best players. The auction witnessed bidding wars between six franchises – Tigers of Kolkata, Majhi Mumbai, Bangalore Strikers, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Srinagar Ke Veer, and Chennai Singhams. The second season of the ISPL is scheduled to be held in Mumbai from January 26 to February 15, 2025.

Top 10 most expensive players of ISPL 2024 auction

Abhishek Kumar Dalhor emerged as the most expensive buy of the season. Abhishek was also the most expensive player from the season one auction and so far he is still the most expensive player in the season 2 auction. Chennai Singams bought Ketan Mhatre for INR 17.25 lakh and Falcon Risers Hyderabad picked up Irfan Umair for INR 16.50 lakh.

During the inaugural season of ISPL, Abhishek performed consistently and won many matches for his team. He established himself as a key player in season 1. Majhi Mumbai invested heavily in Abhishek which reflects their ambition to build a strong team for season 2. Bangalore Strikers and Srinagar ke Veer were also involved in the bidding war but Mumbai got their player at the end.
