New Delhi: Dabang Delhi defeated Telugu Titans by 33-37 in the first match of the evening on Thursday, while the second match of the evening between UP Yoddhas and Bengal Warriors ended in a tie U at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune on December 12. Dabang Delhi moved up to second place in the Pro-Kabaddi League points table.
In the first match, the two teams got off to a great start as Vijay Malik secured the first point for the Titans while Pawan Sehrawat also played well for his team. Ashu Malik scored a two-point raid for the Dabang Delhi and Naveen Kumar also made a crucial contribution to the team.
Vijay Malik scored two points in a Do-or-Die Raid to put pressure on the opposition and inflicted an all-out on Dabang Delhi to give his team a big lead. At the end of the first half, the Titans were leading the match by four points.
Dabang Delhi made a sensational start in the second half and inflicted an all-out on the Titans to level the score. Sehrawat and Malik helped the Titans to take a five-point lead. Naveen completed his Super 10 and gave Dabang Delhi a four-point lead in the final minutes of the game. The Telugu Titans are still in the race for the playoffs.
In the second match of the evening, The UP Yoddhas and Bengal Warriors produced a thrilling game but both sides failed to secure the victory as PKL 11 witnessed the 11th tied match of the season.
