New Delhi: The 30-share Sensex on Monday closed 384.55 points lower at 81,748.57, while the Nifty was down 100.05 points or 0.40 per cent to 24,668.25. Indian indices came under pressure from Wall Street trends ahead of the US Federal Reserve Open Market Committee’s meeting next month. Sluggish numbers from the Chinese economy made investors cautious about the potential outcome of the FOMC meeting.

Coal India: The state-owned company recorded expenditure worth Rs 1,209 crore on ground-mounted solar power projects of 661 MW capacity, Coal minister G Kishan Reddy informed the Rajya Sabha.
LIC: The life insurer’s unclaimed maturity deposits stood at Rs 880.93 crore in FY24, compared to Rs 815.04 crore in the year ago period.
NBCC: The construction consultancy secured an order worth Rs 490 crore from the governments of Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
NHPC: The state-owned company said it had inked an agreement with BEML for the joint exploration of opportunities to develop desilting and dredging solutions aimed at hydro power plants, according to an exchange filing.
Oriana Power: The renewables company inked an agreement with the Rajasthan government for the development of green energy projects worth Rs 19,000 crore.
Vedanta: The mining major’s board gave its nod to a 4th interim dividend worth Rs 8.5 apiece for FY25, worth Rs 3,324 crore, according to an exchange filing. The dividend record date has been fixed at December 24, 2024.
Waaree Energies: The renewables major secured orders for two modules totalling 398 MW in India. The two projects are sized 249 MW and 149 MW, respectively.
