New Delhi: Atletico Madrid are already flying high this season, and now they will have wings added as the club have agreed to a new sponsorship deal with energy drink brand Red Bull. Red Bull continues their expansion in football, having a deal until June 2027.

No other details of the agreement have been revealed. For the first time, the Austrian brand has partnered with a football club as it continues its commitment to ‘giving wings’ not only to individual athletes but also to team sports. This strategic alliance goes beyond just visibility at the Riyadh Metropolitan Stadium; it aims to enrich the experience for Atletico Madrid supporters with a range of additional events.

It was revealed by Diario AS that the deal would bring in significant income for Atletico, while Ruben Uria has revealed that Spanish giants Barcelona were also competing for the same sponsorship deal, but Madrid emerged as the winner.

This collaboration aligns with Red Bull’s broader football strategy. Red Bull currently owns multiple clubs globally, such as RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, the New York Red Bulls in MLS, and Red Bull Bragantino in Brazil. Recently, the brand has acquired a minority ownership stake in Leeds United and is also in line to become its main sponsor. Additionally, they have invested in Paris FC in Ligue 2, collaborating with the Arnault family.

Atletico Madrid’s other sponsors

Riyadh Air remains the first flight and will continue to be their main sponsor. They are currently contributing €40m per season to not only feature on the front of the Atletico shirt but also in the stadium name, which is Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium, having replaced Civitas and Wanda before that.

Atletico Madrid partners with Red Bull in a groundbreaking sponsorship deal until 2027, enhancing fan experiences and boosting club revenue.  Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
