New Delhi: Haryana Steelers won their maiden Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title as they defeated three-time PKL champion Patna Pirates in the final of PKL 11. After winning the debut PKL championship, the Steelers are organising a victory parade in Haryana on January 11.
Haryana MLA Savitri Jindal and JSW Sports members Parth Jindal and Divyanshu Singh will also be available for the victory parade. The parade will kick start in Hisar at Jindal Overbridge from 10:30 am IST onwards.
The parade will also include the meet and greet moment for the fans as Steelers management will gather at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University AKA HAU, Hisar. Fans can meet their idols and click selfies with them.
From HAU, Hisar fans will join the Steelers’ team and the celebration will go to the road at 4:00 pm IST. The parade will head to Rohtak’s Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU).
The Haryana team and fans will celebrate together during the victory parade and will inaugurate the newly built Kabaddi Academy in Haryana, which will start a new journey for Kabaddi fans in Haryana.
“This victory parade is our way of thanking the fans, we are able to achieve the trophy because of their support. We will continue to work hard to ensure we have more reasons to celebrate season after season” Manpreet Singh said.
Steelers’ coach Manpreet Singh expressed his excitement before the victory parade as this was his first PKL trophy as head coach.
Who will be included in Haryana Steelers’ victory parade?
The Haryana Steelers’ head coach Manpreet Singh with assistant coach Neer Gulia will be available from the team management side. Steelers skipper Jaideep Dahiya, Vice-captain Rahul Sethpal with Sahil, Vinay Tewatia, Shivam Patare, Vishal Shivshankar Tate, Vikas Ramadas, Naveen, Sanskar Mishra, Ghanshyam, Ashish Gill, and Sanjay will be present in a victory parade.
