The 23-year-old is enjoying his life in Spain with Real Betis as a regular starter for the club. He has been instrumental for them as a deep lying midfielder and has played a major role in Betis’ recent success where they are seven games unbeaten in all competitions. He plays a major role in that central area as an anchor, who can do a great job with his game reading ability and intelligence. Despite his lack of aggression on the pitch, he manages to fulfiil his defensive duties quite well.
However, that is not the only thing Cardodo is known for, as his vision and passing ability where he can break the opposition defensive lines from his own half, makes him a top tier talent for Betis. The London club, Tottenham Hotspur are facing a somewhat unclear window. This season, Ange Postecoglu’s team has been severely impacted by injuries, forcing center midfielders to play center defense. They don’t actually have a trustworthy fit No. 6 in their ranks at the moment. Cardoso could be the answer to that issue. He is undoubtedly a more mature player than youthful Lucas Bergvall and has the physical type for the Premier League.
