New Delhi: Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir along with some other Indian cricketers have strongly condemned the ghastly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam in which 26 people were killed and several others were injured. The attack, which took place at Baisaran at around 2.30 PM on Tuesday, sent shock waves across the country.
The terror attack is said to be the deadliest attack in the valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019. The ghastly attack was deeply condemned by people from all walks of life and members of the Indian cricketing community did shirk from expressing their anguish and anger. Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir was among the first few ones from the cricketing fraternity who took to social media to express his solidarity with the victims and their families.
He posted on X, ‘Praying for the families of the deceased. Those responsible for this will pay. India will strike. #Pahalgam’.

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh too condemned the terror attack saying that he was deeply saddened by the it and prayed for the victims and their families.

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly also offered his condolences for the Pahalgam terror victims, saying that his thoughts and prayers are with them.

Indian batter and Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill took to social media to condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam.

After the attack, the security forces cordoned off the entire area and launched a search for the terrorists. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have vowed to give the culprits a strong reply.
