New Delhi: Pep Guardiola seemed to have put his side’s torrid form firmly in the rear view mirror now as he was on the verge of guiding Manchester City to a hard fought win over Brentford. However, the Bees have been the best home team this season, having only lost once at the Gtech Community Stadium, and maintained that record as a late goals from Yoane Wissa and Christian Nørgaard rescued a point for Thomas Frank’s team.

This draw lifts Brentford up to 10th in the table momentarily as Manchester City remain in sixth position. Pep will see this as vital points dropped as his side were leading via a Phil Foden brace till the 82nd minute mark and another slip up can see them fall out of the top six once again. Elsewhere across London, Chelsea desperately cling on to their top four spot via a late goal of their own against everyone’s bogey team this season, Bournemouth.

Enzo Maresca’s men were staring into another defeat after goals from Patrick Kluivert and Chelsea born Antoine Semenyo  had put the Cherries 2-1 up. The Blues were awarded a free kick at the edge of the box in injury time and captain Reece James, who recently returned from injury, scored a sublime free kick to secure a point for his club. Although, the clube are still winless in the last five Premier League games following another draw to Bournemouth.

With their third draw in the last five league games games, they have lost now lost points from leading positions in three of their last four games, showcasing the club’s attacking woes. Chelsea have only taken three points from the last 15 available and this horrible return could see the club fall out of the UEFA Champions League spots in the league before this matchday ends if Newcastle win their game.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are proving their mettle this season and have become the first team to avoid defeat against Liverpool across both league games in this campaign. Nuno Santo’s side took the lead early in the first half as Chris Wood continued his goalscoring form and put his side ahead. It seemed like Forest would repeat their heroics from early in the season and gain another win over Liverpool but a goal from Diogo Jota earned Liverpool a point against Forest but they still moved above Arsenal in the league table.
