New Delhi: In utter disappointment for India, shuttler’s Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy’s fantastic campaign ended at the India Open 2025 ended as they bowed out of the event after a semifinal loss. The Indian pair did not look in a good touch in the crucial semis clash, going down 18-21, 14-21 against Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin in men’s doubles contest in New Delhi.
Both Chirag and Shetty looked sensational in the entire tournament but in a clash which mattered the most, they failed the stern test. With this, India’s doubles campaign at the premier event also ended after the single’s campaign came to an end with PV Sindhu and Kiran George’s exit on Friday.
