New Delhi: The vice president of WWE RAW, Michael Cole announced that the transfer window of WWE will be closed after Royal Rumble weekend. After WWE moved to Netflix, many wrestlers switched their brands.
Cole stated that this will be the last week of the transfer window and after Royal Rumble weekend, which is on February 2 and 3 there will no transfer will be done in WWE.
Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and many more are rumored to switch their brands after WWE moved to Netflix. Not many fighters switched from red brand to blue.
What is the WWE transfer window?
The transfer window is a period of time when many wrestlers change their brands like WWE owns three banners RAW, Smackdown, and NXT. Wrestlers who are competing in the Smackdown will move to RAW and the same goes for other banners as well.
Other than that wrestlers also start their careers fresh. It is not like Penta made his WWE debut after transferring from AEW. The transfer window is only applicable to wrestlers fighting within the brands under WWE.
The transfer window also gave the freedom to fighters to move to other brands during the shows. Chad Gable was the first wrestler this year who teased the transfer window, when he confronted Cody Rhodes on Smackdown.
Bayley is the only WWE star who appeared in all three brands during the transfer window in 2025. Some top wrestlers who moved to other brands in the transfer window were Damian Priest, Wyatt Sicks, The Miz, and Braun Strowman. All these fighters moved from RAW to Smackdown.
Logan Paul, Bayley, Austin Theory, and Grayson Waller opted for the opposite direction from Smackdown to RAW. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline are rumored to move from Smackdown to RAW. There will be no more transfers in the WWE NXT according to reports.
