However, Brentford did show some fight as they looked threatening at the end of the half but couldn’t quite capitalise or get a grip of their own. After Diaz, in his 100th game for the team, delivered an early counterattack, the Bees fought back, but they were unable to break through, and after the half, it was one-way traffic. What a game the Colombian had where he clearly made his presence felt after scoring the first goal, giving The Reds a first half lead which they carried into the second half very well. Diaz was involved in both the goals as he scored one while also combined well with Mohamed Salah, as he managed to find the Egyp;tian who made no mistake in putting it away. The Colombian winger was an influential figure for Liverpool as he looked extremely lively on the pitch.
Luiz used his speed and ability to beat the defenders to best effect as he was running all over the pitch and made a major impact playing upfront. This run of form can turn out to be a major factor for Liverpool as Diaz has proven himself to be an impostant player for The Reds in the past. Ever since he made his permanent move from Porto, the 27 year old has been a revelation as he played his 100th game for Liverpool as he managed to score 25th goal for The Reds.
