New Delhi: England spinner Adil Rashid bowled an excellent spell as Jos Buttler & Co. beat India by 26 runs in the 3rd T20I at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot to keep the five-match series alive at 3-1. Rashid produced a magical delivery to clean up the in-form Tilak Varma during India’s run-chase and turned the game in the visitors’ favour.
The dismissal took place on the final delivery of the 8th over when Tilak was looking to get into the act having settled down after coming out to bat at number three during India’s 172-run chase. The England spinner bowled an absolute ripper to bamboozle the left-hander. It was a tossed-up delivery from Rashid which was bowled just outside off and turned in sharply to beat Tilak’s inside edge before crashing onto the stumps.
It was a dream delivery for any spinner as the ball pitched in the right area with the perfect scrambled seam and drifted viciously to leave Tilak clueless as his defence was breached comfortably. There was little the India batter could have done about the delivery which can easily be labelled the ‘Delivery of the Year’ so far.

Tilak slammed a match-winning knock of unbeaten 72 in the 2nd T20I against England in Chennai to guide India to a thrilling 2-wicket victory in a nail-biter. However, he failed to replicate his heroics in Rajkot as he fell to Rashid’s brilliance. The England spinner kept the lid of India’s scoring rate in the middle overs and finished with an excellent spell of 1/15 of his 4 overs to help the visitors defend 171 and win the game by 26 runs to pull one back in the series.

England bowlers shone in the 3rd T20I in Rajkot to help the visitors pull one back in the five-match series. While Rashid bowled a brilliant spell and kept things tight, all-rounder Jamie Overton did well in the death overs to ensure India couldn’t plot a late comeback.
Overton dismissed Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar and Mohammed Shami to finish as the top wicket-taker with three wickets while pacers Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse picked up two wickets apiece.
