New Delhi: India and Pakistan share one of the greatest rivalries in cricket history and have produced some of the most memorable encounters across formats. The arch-rivals will resume their rivalry when they lock horns in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025. India and Pakistan will take on each other in a much-awaited blockbuster clash at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, February 23.

While Pakistan are the official hosts of the tournament, India will play all their matches in Dubai in the Champions Trophy 2025 after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to send the Indian team to Pakistan. The excitement has been at the peak ahead of the clash between the eternal rivals and the build-up has further spiced up the rivalry.

Ahead of the high-octane clash, former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi took a cheeky dig at the current India and Pakistan players over the lack of aggression in India-Pakistan matches. There have been several heated moments during India-Pakistan matches in the past with tempers flaring across both teams. However, the aggression has toned down in the recent meetings between the two teams.

When asked about the same during a build-up show on Star Sports, Afridai said – “Aaj kal ke players sab McDonalds, KFC wale hai (Today’s players are of the Mcdonalds, KFC generation)”.
