New Delhi: With a crushing 4-0 victory at the King Power Stadium on Friday, Brentford extended Leicester City’s relegation worries and won four straight Premier League away games. Goals from Christian Norgaard, Bryan Mbeumo, and Yoane Wissa in the first 15 minutes gave Thomas Frank’s Bees a commanding lead in a game that just kept on delivering. Mikkel Damsgaard assisted the first two goals, picking out Wissa with a brilliant flick for the opening, then finding Mbeumo free in the area for a curled finish.
Leicester had two great early chances, but Mark Flekken made a fantastic save against Jamie Vardy and stayed tall at his near post to deny Woyo Coulibaly. However, Brentford quickly took the lead and scored in the seventeenth minute. Wissa’s shot bounced in after Damsgaard flicked a sumptuous outside-of-the-boot pass through for her. Damsgaard, who has already contributed 10 assists this season—more than any other Brentford player in a single campaign—found Mbeumo, who ten minutes later increased Brentford’s lead with a looping strike from the right of the box.
Norgaard added a third goal by nodding home Mbeumo’s free kick, and the Bees were in complete control after that. Before halftime, they had a chance to score a fourth goal. Keane Lewis-Potter’s clumsy finish was disallowed after Kevin Schade nodded into a post. The ball bounced off his arm and nestled in the corner.

A home outing to forget for the Foxes
Early in the second half, Mavididi was trying to make things happen after entering the game in the second half. Vardy’s flicked header missed the mark after Mavididi played the cross into the box, but the Foxes skipper would have been offside anyhow. Yehor Yarmoliuk looked Mbeumo’s cross goalward in the 69th minute, but Mads Hermansen’s incredible fingertip save prevented him from extending Brentford’s advantage.
Buonanotte almost gave the Leicester City supporters something to be happy about. To the pleasure of the home crowd, who didn’t have much to celebrate in this game, the Argentine took his shot just wide of the post. However, after a goalmouth scramble in which Boubakary Soumare failed to clear, Carvalho would drill home to give Brentford another goal to top off an unforgettable performance.
Brentford were dominant at the Gtech Community Stadium in the early going of 2024–2025, but they were unable to get a win away from home. They have lost seven and drawn two of their first nine road games this season, failing to win any of them. However, beginning with a 5-0 thumping of Southampton in early January, they have now won four straight away from home for the first time as a Premier League team.
As for Leicester, yet another embarassing result for them only adds to the miseries of under pressure Ruud Van Nistelrooy. With an overall score of 15-0, his side have now dropped six straight Premier League games at the King Power.
Brentford overtook Brighton & Hove Albion to go up to 10th place in the standings, and Leicester never attempted a comeback. Fabio Carvalho, a replacement, added a late fourth goal. With one more game played, Leicester remains in 19th position, two points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers in 17th place, following their tenth loss in their previous 11 league games.
