New Delhi: The Indian Tigers and Tigresses football talent hunt is a unique initiative, giving wings to some of the most talented young footballers in India to realise their dream of making it big in the sport. Thousands of kids took part in the trails conducted as part of the campaign in the major states across the country with 32 talented youngsters getting selected for a dream trip to Austria, where they will get to train along the best in Europe.
Approximately 50,000 kids from across the nation registered for eight trials that took place in major cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, among others. Around 10,000 boys and girls were shortlisted after the registrations, out of which only a few hundred managed to ace the trials and made it to the finals conducted in Delhi. 32 kids were selected after the final and will now be on the flight to Australia.
16-year-old Shaurya Jha from Delhi is among the 32 kids selected to travel to Australia as Indian Tigers and Tigresses campaign by TV9 and News Nine Live. A young football sensation who plays as a right-back, Shaurya studies in DPS Vasant Kunj and was selected in the Delhi trials of the campaign. He managed to impress the coaches with his skills during the scouting camp.
Shaurya started playing the game at a young age and his passion for football stood out. He continued to improve his game with age and worked on his skills along with rigorous training to emerge as one of the most talented youngsters in his school. His parents too played a key role in his development as a footballer by constantly encouraging him and standing as a pillar of support.
Shaurya’s commitment has now led to a remarkable achievement as he is among the selected few to travel to Austria through the Indian Tigers and Tigresses campaign by TV9 and News Nine Live. This opportunity will allow Shaurya to train with elite European coaches, providing him with much-needed international exposure which might help him take his game to new heights.
Shaurya’s journey is a testament to his hard work and the encouragement he has received from his family. With Austria now in his sights, he is ready to seize this golden opportunity and take a step closer to his dreams of making it big in football.
