News9’s Indian Tigers and Tigresses caters to Araddhya Dhang’s undeniable football talent

New Delhi: The historic News9’s Indian Tigress and Tigresses football talent hunt has given the perfect wings to a lot of young boys and girls who aim to represent the country at the international level. The never-seen-before initiative by TV9 Network turned out to be a massive scouting drive which was carried out in different parts of the country to pick the most talented kids with an inclination towards football.

As soon as the remarkable initiative was announced, it attracted as many as 50,000 registrations out of which 10,000 were shortlisted. Out of the total shortlisted candidates, 7,000 boys were shortlisted while 3,000 girls also got an opportunity to showcase their talent. This was followed by a series of trials across different states in the country with Delhi, West Bengal, Karnataka among others being the major ones. The rigorous trials ended with 32 candidates being shortlisted for the final which will give them an opportunity to fly to Austria for training under the best in Europe.

Araddhya Dhang’s big football dreams

She not only had big dreams to make her name in the world of football but also possessed the courage and hard work to achieve it. Coming from Dhankuni in West Bengal to Delhi and then a dream to conquer the world, Araddhya Dhang always wanted to achieve big in life. For the talented girl, football is not just a game but it is something which has been in her blood since the childhood, especially after coming from a land of Sailen Manna – the legendary Bengal footballer who once ruled the sport.

Behind Araddhya’s dream stands the unwavering support her parents offered her and continue to live the dream with their kid. Her father, Rajkumar Dhang, who runs a small clothing shop in the national capital, ensures to dedicate his time to her training as her mother stay strong holding the fort so that her dreams do not go into oblivion. Though her talent was undeniable but she kept nurturing it with rigorous training and hard work and with the support from her family, her hard work has finally paid off.

With relentless hard work, she kept honing her skills and excelling at small local tournaments but never let her focus go haywire. Out of the total 3000 girls shortlisted, Araddhya was among the lucky ones to get selected for the final which means a lot to her. With this initiative, Araddhya will be headed to Austria where she will get an opportunity to train under the best European coaches which could change her future altogether.
