New Delhi: Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj joined others in condemning the horrific terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pahalgam. Tourists were targeted by fully armed terrorists at the scenic Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Friday, leaving at least 26 dead and several others injured. The ghastly terror attack sent shockwaves across the country.
Described as one of the worst attacks on innocent civilians since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, the Pahalgam terror attack has left millions mourning and enraged across the country. Many have taken to social media to condemn the barbaric attack on innocent civilians, demanding action against the perpetrators from the government.
Indian cricketer Siraj took to social media to share an emotional post, condemning the ghastly terror attack. Siraj also sent his condolences to the family members of the victims while demanding strict action against the terrorists who carried out the attack.
“Just read about the horrific and shocking terrorist attack in Pahalgam. To target and kill innocent civilians in the name of religion is pure evil… No cause, no belief, no ideology can ever justify such a monstrous act,” Siraj wrote in a post on X.
“Yeh kaisi ladai hai. Jahaan insaan ki jaan ki koi keemat hi nah (What kind of fight is this? Where there is no value to a human life?).
“I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and trauma the families must be going through.. May the families find the strength to survive this unbearable grief. We are so sorry for your loss. I hope this madness ends soon and these terrorists are found and punished, without mercy,” added the Indian pacer.

As per a report in the PTI, the players will also observe a minute’s silence before the start of play to pay their respects to the victims.
