Confirmed!!! Liverpool’s Premier League victory parade

New Delhi: Liverpool fans are all ready to paint England in red once again. The Liverpool City Council has officially confirmed that a victory parade will take place to celebrate the club’s stunning 20th Premier League title win. After weeks of anticipation, it’s now set in stone that the Reds will be parading around the city on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26.

The parade will begin at 2:30 PM BST, just a day after Liverpool’s final game of the 2024-25 season. Following the same 15-kilometre route that brought incredible scenes during the 2019 and 2022 celebrations, the team will kick off the journey at Allerton Maze in the south of Liverpool.

From there, the parade will travel northbound along Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and the Rocket flyover. The jubilant route continues via Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street, and The Strand, and finally ending at Blundell Street.

The entire parade is expected to last somewhere between three and five hours, though timings could shift slightly depending on the day’s flow.

Liverpool will also host the Radio 1 Big Weekend during that period, as the city braces for heavy footfall. Fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their heroes are being encouraged to plan their travel well in advance. Supporters are advised to line the whole route rather than focusing only on the finishing point to spread out the crowd and ensure a smoother and safer celebration.

In addition, authorities have reminded everyone that bringing personal flares and pyrotechnics to the parade is strictly prohibited. Safety remains a top priority and fans are urged to enjoy the day responsibly while making it memorable for all the right reasons.

A city ready to celebrate

Speaking on the announcement, Councillor Liam Robinson, Leader of Liverpool City Council, shared his excitement. “We’re delighted to officially invite Liverpool Football Club to parade around the city on May 26. A Liverpool victory parade is more than football – it’s a celebration of our city’s pride, passion and community spirit,” he said.

Robinson also highlighted the months of meticulous preparation that have gone into planning an event of this scale. “A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes in preparation for an event of this size and scale, and there has already been months of careful planning taking place. It’s set to be an unforgettable Bank Holiday weekend as we give the team the celebration they deserve,” he added.

Title glory secured at Anfield

Liverpool clinched their historic second Premier League title in style with a dominant 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield. The roar of the Anfield crowd at the final whistle said it all that this team has etched their names into the history books once again. With this latest triumph, the Reds now boast 20 top-flight titles, matching Manchester United’s long-standing record.

As the city prepares to come alive with red flags, chants, and an ocean of smiling faces, one thing is clear that May 26 is the date no Liverpool fan will want to miss at all.
