New Delhi: Manchester United’s horror run in the Premier League continued on Sunday, May 11 as they suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat against West Ham at Old Trafford. United suffered their 17th league defeat of the season, the most in over 50 years. Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen scored to help West Ham sink a spineless United side.

Eberechi Eze scored a brace to help Crystal Palace beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 and warm up in style for the FA Cup final against Manchester City. Palace were comfortably the better side throughout the contest as they dominated the proceedings against Spurs. Meanwhile, relegated Leicester City played a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest to land a blow to their chances of securing European football next season.

Manchester United 0-2 West Ham

After a clinical display against Athletic Bilbao in the second leg of their Europa League final, Manchester United were hoping to continue their winning run against West Ham in the Premier League. However, Ruben Amorim’s men were beaten comprehensively at home. West Ham beat United 2-0 at Old Trafford with the help of goals from Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen.

Soucek opened the scoring for West Ham in the 26th minute to put them ahead before Bowen capitalised on a pass from former United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka to slot it home and seal a 2-0 victory for the visitors. United have now remained winless in their last seven Premier League matches, equalling their unwanted record of their worst run in 1992.

Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace delivered an exceptional performance to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0. Eberechi Eze bagged a brace for the Eagles with a goal on either side of the interval to wrap up a comfortable win for Palace. Eze scored the opener on the brink of half-time when he netted from a pass from Daniel Munoz from close range.

Eze made it 2-0 after the break with another brilliant strike. Two goals from the England international were enough for Palace to close out a victory against Spurs, who will be taking on Manchester United in the all-English Europa League final on May 22. Palace will take a lot of confidence from their performance ahead of their FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 17.

Nottingham Forest 2-2 Leicester City

Forest seemed to be walking home with all three points before Buonanotte’s equaliser in the 81st minute crushed their hopes.
