New Delhi: India cricketer Piyush Chawla has called time on his playing career as he announced his retirement from all formats of the game on Friday. Chawla, who was long absent from the Indian cricket team, was only seen playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the last few years.
The 36-year-old took to his Instagram account to share a long, heartfelt note along with several pictures dating from his early playing days. In the note, he thanked key persons like his coaches who shaped him into a sportsman and helped him make his career, and also expressed gratitude to the BCCI and the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association for providing him opportunities to represent the national and the state team.
