New Delhi: Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has said he is fully focused on the club and doesn’t see himself leaving amid rumours linking him with a transfer to Serie A giants Inter Milan. Hojlund, who impressed in his debut season for United, endured a forgettable campaign in the 2024-25 season as he managed to bag only 10 goals in 52 appearances for United across competitions.
Hojlund’s place is under threat in United’s squad with the club aiming for a major rebuild after a dismal campaign last season. United finished a disappointing 15th in the Premier League last season, managing only 42 points from 38 matches, while losing the Europa League final under manager Ruben Amorim. Hojlund’s poor form in front of the goal was one of the major reasons behind United’s struggles.
United have been moving swiftly in the ongoing transfer window with a focus on providing Amorim with the best possible reinforcements as several outgoings are expected ahead of the new season. United have roped in Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a £62.5m deal and are currently in talks to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season.
United are reportedly also on the lookout for a striker and have been linked with a move for Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres, who was on a goal-scoring spree for Sporting Lisbon last season. Meanwhile, reports have claimed that Inter are interested in signing Hojlund amid the expected departures of Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic.

However, the Denmark striker refuted the rumours of leaving United ahead of the new season. Speaking to TV2 Sport, after Denmark’s 2-1 win against Northern Ireland on Saturday, Hojlund dismissed the rumours of a move away from United and said he is fully dedicated to Amorim’s project at the club.
“I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United. I’m looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I’m fully dedicated to the project that’s underway,” said Hojlund.
“I know I can’t get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030. I expect to play there, so I’m just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good pre-season,” he added.
Hojlund signed for Manchester United from Italian club Atalanta in a £ 72 million deal in August 2023. In his first season under former manager Erik Ten Hag, he scored 16 goals for United across competitions, impressing with his skills. However, Hojlund’s form dipped massively this season as he managed to score only 10 goals in all competitions.
