Thiruvananthapuram : In a shocking case of cyber bullying, a social media influencer dies by suicide. As per reports, Adithya S Nair, an 18-year-old girl died by suicide after she has been prone to continuous social media trolls.
As per her friends, Adithya was in a relationship with a youngster whom she had met through Instagram. However, after their relationship broke, there was continuous cyber-attacks that followed.
Last Monday Adithya tried to died by suicide at her home in Kunnupuzha in Thiruvananthapuram and following which she was hospitalized in a critical condition. She was admitted in the medical college hospital where she was in the ICU.
Her death was confirmed on Sunday night by the hospital authorities.
The Poojappura police have registered a case of unnatural death and have begun the investigation. The family of Adithya has filed a complaint to the police as she was attacked in social media platforms.
