Akbaruddin Owaisi slams Telangana Congress over law & order

Hyderabad: AIMIM MLA and floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Saturday, July 27 slammed Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in the Assembly over issues of law and order in Old City.

Addressing the issue, Akbar Owaisi said that law and order is on the verge of collapse and police are thrashing anyone who is standing outside their house at 11 pm.

“What is the status of law and order here? There are rapes happening, ganja is coming in, they are getting caught and the ganja is still coming in repeatedly. There are murders happening in old city. But instead of paying attention to this, police are assaulting ordinary people at 10.30 pm. I have the right to live. I have the freedom in this country. I am standing out of my house and police is coming with their sticks and beating me? They have turned the situation curfew like. If police do their duty, there won’t be murders, cannabis won’t come in,” he said in the Assembly.

He further said that his friends place was raided by police for no reason. “They are beating us in old city after 11 pm. What kind of tyranny is this? Is this why we elected Congress? Law and order is collapsing. Kindly take care of it and bring in good officers and let me tell you, no drugs come in without the knowledge of the cops.”
