New Delhi: Virat Kohli showcased a glimpse of his superior batting skills in the T20 World Cup Super Eight match between India and Bangladesh on Saturday. The talismanic batter who was not getting his real touch in the showpiece event displayed full aggression with his 28-ball 37-run knock in the encounter at Antigua.
While the fans were waiting for their star to shine and got a glimpse of it in India’s first super 8 clash against Afghanistan, Kohli did not disappoint them and came up with a much better knock in the contest against the Afghans. The star India batter showed no mercy when Shakib Al Hasan was brought into the attack ahead of the second over of India’s innings, and he slammed the star Bangladesh all-rounder for a thumping 87-metre six.
Just after Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto invited India to bat first, Shakib bowled a tossed-up delivery to Kohli. The former India skipper did not miss out on this delivery, as he stylishly played over wide long-on for a huge six.
