New Delhi: The much-awaited moment finally arrived as Team India made a triumphant return to its homeland in the early hours of Thursday. The Men in Blue landed at the Delhi airport four days after winning the T20 World Cup title in Barbados. Rohit Sharma’s men were stranded on the Caribbean island as Hurricane Beryl shut down Barbados for four days. After multiple delays, Team India finally boarded a special flight on Wednesday and reached home amidst massive fanfare.
Thousands of fans greeted their heroes upon their arrival in Delhi. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma showcased the T20 World Cup Trophy while Virat Kohli waved to excited fans. The Indian team left the airport for ITC Maurya and upon reaching the hotel were welcomed in grand style.
Indian superstar batter Suryakumar Yadav celebrated his triumphant homecoming with some slick dance moves on the beats of Dhol. Young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal couldn’t hold himself back and joined the party.

The victorious team will meet PM Narendra Modi at his official residence before leaving for Mumbai in the afternoon.
