New Delhi: Conor McGregor is the new owner of the bare-knuckle fighting championship (BKFC). He was present at the BKFC 67 press conference at Marbella, Spain. He addressed fans about how will he grow the BKFC as the new global sport. Conor said he’s got two fights left on his UFC contract and will eye on BKFC debut after his UFC contract. Conor’s Proper Twelve and Forged Irish Stout are sponsorship partners with the BKFC organisation.
Currently, Mcgregor’s fight against Michael Chandler was postponed because of his toe injury and didn’t announce any comeback date for himself. Conor’s last fight was way back on July 11, 2021, when he broke his leg in the fight and didn’t fully recover from then. Reports claimed that Conor will fight against Chandler in 2024.
Conor had attended some BKFC events, he was also involved in the fierce faceoff with BKFC starfighter Mike Perry. He also suggested fighters to fight something new in their career as BKFC has everything compared to UFC, PFL, or any other promotion.
“BKFC is the No.1 in the space by a mile. We are different, we are not like anyone else in the space. Although the UFC is at its peak and the mega-company it is and the No.1 in its category, we are the No.1 in our category. It’s apples and oranges; we lend ourselves well to each other and that’s what I really like about it. For me, BKFC right now is No.1 in the space and there is no one close to it.” he added.
