Chennai: According to the data submitted by the central government in the Rajya Sabha, violence against the backward and tribal people in Tamil Nadu has increased significantly.

Similarly, the number of cases registered under the category of crimes against tribals has increased from 23 in 2020 to 39 in 2021 and 67 in 2022, according to the statistics provided by the central government.
