Keylor Navas found life difficult at PSG since Donnamrumma joined the club, with the Costa Rican mostly warming up the bench. Before his stint at PSG, he was part of Real Madrid’s formidable ‘three-peat’ side. His stay at the PSG has been mixed, and since his loan period with Nottingham ended last season, he has been out of contract and will sign a permanent deal with the Biancorossi. For PSG, the goalkeeper was part of three Ligue 1 titles. For Real Madrid, he won one La Liga title and won three consecutive Champions League titles.
According to media sources, the shot-stopper has already left Costa Rica. He is expected to undergo a medical examination in Italy where after he will be announced as the club’s new player. For Monza, Navas could play a key role as a mentor and use his experience to groom younger players.
Keylor Navas had previously announced his retirement from international football and decided not to be part of Costa Rica’s side for Copa America. The former Real Madrid goalkeeper made his debut for his nation in 2008 and made 114 appearances and played three World Cups for Costa Rica.
