New Delhi: Team India’s new T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav recently got a fresh makeover from renowned hairstylist Aalim Hakim in Mumbai. He was appointed as the new T20I captain after Rohit Sharma retired from the shortest format.
Under his leadership, The Men in Blue defeated Sri Lanka by 3-0 in the T20I series. However, the 33-year-old was left out of the ODI squad as the likes of Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Riyan Parag were the preferred choices of selectors.
Suryakumar’s next challenge will be against Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series. The first T20I will start on October 6 in Dharamshala, with the second T20I in Delhi on October 9 and the final game in Hyderabad on October 12.
The T20I captain has used the break to get a makeover from one of the best celebrity hairstylists. He posted the pictures of his new look on Instagram.
He will participate in the All-India Buchi Babu Invitation Cricket Tournament, which will start on August 15 in Chennai. According to media reports, Suryakumar will play one match for the Mumbai state team against Jammu & Kashmir in Salem on August 27.

The Men in Blue showed a disappointing performance in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma and Co. managed to tie the first match but lost the next two while chasing the target. As a result, Sri Lanka won an ODI bilateral series against India for the first time since 1997.
After losing the ODI series against Sri Lanka, The Men in Blue will enjoy a much-needed 40-day break. Team India will face Bangladesh in two Tests and three T20Is, starting from September 19. After that, Rohit Sharma and co. will face New Zealand in the three-match Test series, which is scheduled to start on October 16.
The Men in Blue will tour South Africa for the four-match T20I series, starting on November 8. Team India’s biggest challenge will be against Australia in the five-match Test series, starting on November 22.
