WWE US Champion LA Knights wants to defend his title against John Cena

New Delhi: WWE United States Champion LA Knight recently hinted at his potential dream match against WWE star John Cena. Cena is currently on his ‘Retirement tour’ and WrestleMania 41 will be his last assignment with WWE.

Knight never fought Cena in his career and Cena had a memorable run with the US title in WWE. Cena was giving open opportunities to young superstars to come and challenge him for the title. They both teamed up last year at the WWE Fastlane event to take on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.

“Former tag partners. You never know. He might want to come back and get this United States Championship one more time—a guy who has been a staple for this championship. I would field that challenge, for sure. With him being my tag partner, I might just know him a little bit. You talk about the greatest of all time and what some might call the future.” Knight in public appearance.

Knight won the US title earlier this month in the WWE SummerSlam event by defeating Logan Paul. Knight has been a fan-favorite fighter and Knight suggested Cena would be a great matchup for him as Cena has been in WWE for many years and was one of the best US Champions in WWE history.

Cena is now in his last days in WWE and many fighters want to fight with him for one last time. Cody Rhodes also wished to face Cena for one more time as fans love to see their fight.

John Cena wants one more shot at WWE Title

Cena is a 16-time WWE Champion and he equaled the record with Ric Flair but now he is in his last 30-40 dates, so he wanted to break the all time record for holding WWE Title. Cena made his WWE debut in 2002 and holds WWE Title 16 times and the US title four four-times and he will certainly be challenging for any of these belts in the last moments of his WWE career.
