New Delhi: Former India cricketer and head coach Rahul Dravid attended an award function organised by CEAT Cricket Rating in Mumbai on Wednesday along with several other Indian cricketers. Dravid was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his excellent coaching skills that led India to win the T20 World Cup 2024 and for his time during which he donned the Indian colours and took the field as a player.
Dravid’s contribution to Indian cricket has been immense and him getting awarded with the prestigious award does add more feathers to his elite cap. It is well-versed, specially in India, as with each year passing, a biopic on a sportsperson gets announced. This genre of the film industry is known for giving blockbusters and Dravid found himself in the middle of a similar question.
In the event further, the ex-head coach was asked about who should play his role in a biopic. Most of the cricketers would name a particular suitor for their roles, one whom they admire or who they think can nail the role to perfection. But Dravid rather had a witty response to it. “If the money is good enough, I will play the role,” Dravid replied.

Biopic on Yuvraj Singh announced
Recently, a biopic on former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh was announced and is scheduled to go on floors in the coming months. Production giant T-Series made it official a few days back as pictures of producers Bhushan Kumar and Ravi Bhagchandka posing with Yuvraj went viral. The biopic is yet to be titled and will focus on Yuvraj’s unparalleled journey and contributions to cricket that made him a legend of the game.
