“Our auction was a big success, and with these proceeds we aim to enrich the lives of many special children,” Rahul wrote on his Instagram story.
“Thank you to everyone from our cricket fraternity who contributed towards this special cause. To all those who generously donated, your support means a lot,” the Indian wicketkeeper-batter added.

KL Rahul’s retirement speculations end with charity

KL Rahul posted an Instagram story on Thursday. He wrote: ‘I have an announcement to make, stay tuned’. This one-liner post speculated about the 32-year-old’s retirement from international cricket after he was ignored from selection in India’s victorious T20 World Cup in June. Some fabricated posts of Rahul announcing his retirement also circulated on social media.

However, there is no truth to such rumours after Rahul’s charity event was held in Mumbai. Rahul’s special announcement was apparently about this event to help unprivileged kids.
