New Delhi: Shooting ace Manu Bhaker has been in the limelight nearly for a month now and deserves every bit of it for the laurels she brought to the nation with her outstanding campaign at the Paris Olympics 2024. She has been receiving accolades and admiration nationwide for her achievement and is meeting with other notable personalities as well. She recently met India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav and shared a fun picture of her meeting.
She displayed heroics at the Paris Games 2024 with her double-bronze effort as she opened the account for India. She became the first Indian to bag two medals at a single edition of the Olympics, Manu told the world that she has a long way to go. On Saturday, she took to her social media handles and dropped a picture alongside Suryakumar Yadav as the duo uniquely struck poses.
In the photo, Manu posed in a batting stance with folded hands imitating a bat while Suryakumar formed a gun with right-hand fingers, as both acknowledged each other’s sports. It can be said that it was a meeting of the two sports as Manu captioned the photo – “Learning techniques of a new sport with the Mr. 360 of India! @surya_14kumar”.

Manu’s outing in Paris
Manu started off her campaign in the women’s 10m air pistol event where she finished third to clinch a bronze medal and opened India’s account in the French capital. It was her first medal in his maiden Olympic outing and she quickly made it two in the next event she participated in. Combining with Sarabjot Singh in the mixed team 10m air pistol event, the duo clinched bronze and shone for the nation. But for Manu, this second medal meant show became the first Indian to win two medals in a single Olympic edition.
However, she suffered a heartbreak in her next event i.e. women’s 25m air pistol where she closely missed a podium finish, getting the fourth spot. But his double-bronze effort made her a nationwide star as she garnered praise from almost every domain of the country. Even Suryakumar had praised her back when she won her second medal alongside Sarabjot Singh.
