New Delhi: South Delhi Superstarz opener Priyansh Arya blitzed the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday with monstrous hitting against North Delhi Strikers in the match 23 of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) T20 2024. The left-handed opener hammered six sixes in the 12th over bowled by left-arm spinner Manan Bhardwaj.
It was an entertainment for the crowd who turned in the stands with 23-year-old delivering some memorable moments of their life. Stand and delivered was the cliche once used by commentators and that’s what Priyansh was doing to punish Manan’s indiscipline bowling.
The southpaw stepped out of the crease on a couple of occasions on the first and third delivery before dispatching the final one over long-off to join an elite list of players to smash six sixes in as many balls. He made 120 runs from 50 balls with his innings laced by 10 fours and as many sixes.

The day was full of energy and intent in the South Delhi team dugout with Priyansh Arya and skipper Ayush Badoni notching up blistering centuries to power their side to a humungous total of 308 for 5 after opting to bat first. Badoni was the wrecker-in-chief with 165 runs from 55 balls at a staggering strike rate of 300.
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter pummelled eight boundaries and 19 sixes before he was dismissed in the penultimate over by his counterpart Pranshu Vijayran.

Priyansh Arya is the only batter to score two centuries in the tournament so far. The Delhi cricketer has accumulated 576 runs from seven matches with four fifties and two hundreds with the best score of 120. Badoni follows his opening batter with 515 runs from just six innings.
