New Delhi: Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was seen getting angry at his teammates and shouting at them for being lazy on the field during the ongoing 1st Test against Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Rohit, who is known for being an outspoken captain, often gives a dressing down to his teammates when they are not giving their best on the field.
While he always backs the youngsters and prefers to give them their own freedom when playing for the country, Rohit never shies away from speaking his mind when someone lacks intensity on the field. The Hitman’s angry side came to the fore again during the Chennai Test against Bangladesh as he shouted at his teammates.
“Oye, soye hue hai sab log (Everybody is sleeping),” Rohit was seen shouting on the field, in a video that has gone viral on social media.

Rohit didn’t have a great outing in the 1st Test against Bangladesh in Chennai on the personal front as he was dismissed cheaply in both of India’s innings. The Indian skipper was dismissed on 6 runs by Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud in the first innings before getting out for 5 runs off 7 balls to pacer Taskin Ahmed during India’s second innings.
Rohit headed into the series after spending quite some time on the sidelines. The Hitman got a well-deserved break after leading India to triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024 before leading the Men in Blue in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. He was not named in the Duleep Trophy 2024 squads to get an extended break before making his comeback in the Bangladesh Test series.
