New Delhi: Team India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, who turned 34 on Saturday, is currently engaged with the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024. As Mumbai is presently under the festivities of Ganpati, Suryakumar too didn’t shy away from taking part in the grand celebrations as he hosted two ord Ganesha idols in his home and immersed them a few days back as part of the traditional Ganpati Visarjan.

He seems to have returned to the tournament where he is a part of India C but has been on the sidelines for the first two rounds due to an injured hand. Now that the flamboyant batter isn’t home, his family made their way to the iconic Ganpati pavilion of “Lalbaugcha Raja” on Monday to seek blessings. They offered their prayers and respect to God and were even presented with a gift.

Suryakumar shared a picture of his family’s visit on his Instagram story where his family could be seen right ahead of the 14-feet tall regal statue. Devisha Shetty, SKY’s wife, was seen receiving a kind of memorabilia that had pictures of Team India’s huge T20 World Cup 2024 win with a picture of Lalbaugcha Raja. Surya wrote – “Mai nahi jaa paaya par parivaar ne aashirwaad le liya, (I couldn’t visit but my family sought blessings on my behalf), Ganpati Bappa Moryaa.”

September 17, Tuesday, will mark the last day of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations as the festival will come to a close with every Mumbaikar and the rest of India bidding an emotional farewell to their Bappa and urging him to come back soon next year.
