New Delhi: Sri Lanka defeated New Zealand by an innings and 154 runs to win the second Test on the fourth day in Galle on Sunday to complete a clean sweep of the two-match series.
The visitors were forced to follow on and were bowled out for 360 in their second innings with Sri lanka spinners Nishan Peiris and Prabath Jayasuriya claimed a cumulative 18 wickets in the match.
Debutant Peiris took 6/170 in the second innings while Jayasuriya claimed 3/139 as the Kiwis were all out in 81.4 overs.
