Istanbul: Shocking news is coming from the other corner of the world where a Turkish TikToker, Kubra Aykut, died by suicide.

Kubra Aykut, who rose to fame after her ‘wedding without a groom’ video went viral, reportedly died by suicide after she fell from the balcony of a luxury apartment building’s fifth floor in Turkey. 

The Turkish police are now investigating the case; subsequently, the investigation authorities also found a suicide note as reported by the agencies.

According to reports, Aykut, a 26-year-old influencer, died on September 23. She was found dead in Istanbul’s Sultanbeyli area.

The influencer Aykut wrote in her suicide note that read, ‘I jumped off my own free will. Because I don’t want to live anymore. Take good care of Fistik. I was good to everyone in my life, but I couldn’t be good to myself.’ ’Fistik’ is believed to be her pet.’ ‘Living as a good person gave me nothing. In this life, be selfish. That way, you will be happy. I’ve been struggling for days, but no one noticed. I’m leaving because I love myself and want to think about myself for once. I’m sorry. Kubra Aykut. How surprised are you now, right?,’ her suicide note reads, as reported.

The influencer uploaded a final social media post just hours before she died, in which she shared, ‘I’ve gathered my energy, but I can’t seem to gain weight. Today I saw that I dropped to 44 kilograms. I lose a kilogramme every day. I don’t know what to do; I urgently need to gain weight,” she said. 

Kubra Aykut was a known social media influencer, with over one million TikTok followers and over 225K followers on Instagram.

The Turkish social media influencer Kubra Aykut married herself in December last year, when she couldn’t find a worthy groom for herself. After the wedding ceremony, the influencer was seen driving a car while holding her bouquet, which had gone viral on social media.
