Forest Officer of Lachhiwala, Ghanananda Uniyal said that tying mute animals in the forest and leaving them to become prey to leopards is extremely dangerous.
The department will not tolerate such acts. If anyone is caught doing such activities, legal action will be taken. He said that the dog tied with the chain has been freed.
Also, patrolling is being increased in the area.
