Multan: Harry Book just can’t stop feasting on Pakistani bowling attack. The English batter scripted history by scoring a sensational triple century on the Day of the opening Test against Pakistan at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Brook continued his record-breaking run against Pakistan, against who he has now three centuries and one triple century in four Tests.
Brook became the sixth English batter to score a Test triple hundred and became only the fifth batter to breach the 300 mark against Pakistan in the history of Test cricket.
Brook’s sensational knock also ended the five-year wait for a triple ton in Tests. The last triple-century was scored by David Warner in 2019 against the same opposition at the Adelaide Oval.
Brook, who became the 32nd Test batter to achieve the landmark, completed his triple century in just 310 balls, surpassing Australian icon Matthew Hayden. He is only behind Indian legend Virender Sehwag in the fastest triple hundreds list by balls faced. Sehwag holds the record for scoring the fastest triple century in Tests – in 278 balls – against South Africa in Chennai in 2009.
