New Delhi: Anywhere a combat fight is happening, UFC legend Conor McGregor will be there in any form. This time in a fight between Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira, UFC stars were supporting their former partner Ngannou to win against PFL heavyweight Champion Ferreira.
McGregor chose the opposite way as he backed Ferreira to win the fight against Ngannou. McGregor puts a staggering amount of $500,000 on Ferreira to knock out Ngannou in his return fight. But Ngannou made sure that his former partner lost his bet as Ngannou knocked out Ferreira in the first round.
Ngannou was returning to MMA after three years, But it was like same old Ngannou power which destroyed Ferreira in the very first round. McGregor was so much confident about his bet, that he announced on his social media as ‘The Mac is back with his winning bets’.
McGregor also announced that Ngannou will lose by a huge knockout. He puts half a million on Ferreira, If McGregor bet wins, he will be getting a huge paycheck of $2.2 million. However, Ngannou broke Conor’s dream as he took down Ferreira in under four minutes.
After the fight, McGregor reacted to his losing bet, stating “The rich get richer, I’ll get that back”.

McGregor has a rich history in betting as he won over $8 million in a single week in the Euro 2024, where he backed Spain to win the trophy and Spain won the Euro 2024 title.
He also backed Argentina to win Copa America 2024 and the Messi-led team did the same, which netted him over $365,000. His recent big win came in Wimbledon, where he backed Carlos Alcaraz to lift the title and Alcaraz did the impossible which netted him $ 4 million.
McGregor also backed his old rival Nate Diaz to win against Jorge Masvidal in a boxing match, the Dubliner won $1.6 million in that bout.
