What are tonsillitis?
According to the Cleveland Clinic, tonsillitis occurs when your tonsils become infected due to some reason. Tonsils are the type of lumps of soft tissues, one on either side and at the back of the throat. Tonsils are a part of our body’s immune system and they tend to trap germs that can make one sick.
If your tonsils become infected they tend to get swollen and sore and swallowing may hurt.’ One of the first signs of tonsillitis is sore throat and if you develop a sudden sore throat seek medical help.
5 health risks Linked to AC usage Overnight
Dry eyes: The most common side effect of air conditioning is dry eyes. This happens because air conditioners tends to reduce the humidity in the room and due to which the moisture in our eyes evaporates faster. This leads to dry and itchy eyes.
Lethargy: Staying in AC for a longer period of time can make you feel lethargic and your energy may seem to drain off. This happens because the cool temperature reduces the metabolic rate of the body.
Dehydration: Dehydration is another side effect of using AC overnight. This happens because the air conditioner depletes the moisture levels in the air and can affect our hydration levels.
Dry or Itchy Skin: Using AC for long time makes the skin dry and itchy due to the lack of humidity in the air. This can cause our skin to lose moisture and it may become dry and flaky with time.
Headaches: Air conditioning can trigger headaches or migraine issues. The sudden shift in the temperature between the cool indoor and the hot outdoor environment can lead to such issues.
