New Delhi: Hollywood director Zack Snyder has spent his last decade making superheroes, rampaging, and space movies. Now the news has come out that Snyder is interested in creating a film on the world of UFC as his next project after Rebel Moon.
According to reports, Snyder is focused on bringing out UFC to the big screen. American famous screenwriter Zach Baylin has discussed the screenplay with Snyder. The movie will not be released on any OTT channels, it will be a properly planned theatrical movie. UFC President Dana White also agreed to give full cooperation with the Snyder team.
Hollywood actor Adam Driver has been approached for the lead role in Snyder’s UFC movie and Snyder is considering Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and Las Vegas in the USA as the prime locations for the movie. But everything is still very early and nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
After the release of Snyder’s recent movie Rebel Moon, he told the fans that his next film would be smaller movie compared to his last few movies. Snyder claimed that he wants to challenge himself “Can he do a movie without any visual effect in it for like a five minute?”
Snyder also believed that a movie based on UFC would be a perfect fit for him by not using that many visual effects and could make the director’s action aesthetic for the movie.
The chairman of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh went to a UFC event in Saudi Arabia this summer, where he told Snyder to direct a UFC movie and then he met with White and discussed making a big UFC movie like Cinderella.
White is also convinced to arrange all the things for Snyder to showcase UFC on a big screen that will promote the sport on a global basis. Many big Hollywood stars attended UFC events regularly. Recently a movie on MMA was released on Amazon Prime named Road House, UFC star Conor McGregor also made his appearance in the movie.
