Chennai: Popular Tamil actor and founder leader of Tamil Nadu based political outfit Tamizhaga Vetrik kazhagam (TVK), ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay honoured students who won the first three places in 10th and 12th general examinations across all 234 constituencies in the state on Friday, June 28. Vijay is expected to give away the awards in an event which is underway in Chennai.

The event is being held at the Sri Rama Convention Centre in Thiruvanmiyur, in the city. The actor will give away the awards to the winners in the presence of over 500 students and their parents.
Vijay had spent Rs 2 crores for the grand event, according to reports. He made all the arrangements for the students and parents, who arrived for the meeting, including their accommodation, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
