Adil Rashid dismisses Aaron James & Nitish Kumar with a ‘googly’ in USA vs ENG T20 WC clash – WATCH

New Delhi: England bowler Adil Rashid dismissed Nitish Kumar and Aaron James with a brilliant googly during his side’s Super 8 clash against the USA at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Rashid came to bowl in the 7th over of the innings and gave away just two runs in his first over.

He gets the wicket of USA skipper Aaron James in the 9th over. Rashid bowled a googly on the middle and leg stump and James swings his bat but misses the ball completely. In the 11th over he dismissed Nitish Kumar with the same delivery. Rashid bowled a tossed-up delivery and Nitish failed to read the ball. He looked to play the ball but missed it and the ball rattled the stumps.

Adil Rashid also equaled Stuart Broad’s record of  most wickets for England in the T20 World Cup. Stuart Broad has 30 wickets in 25 innings and Rashid achieved the same record in 29 innings. Chris Jordan is at third place in this list with 28 wickets and Graeme Swann is in fourth position with 22 wickets.

England bowlers restricted USA to 115

USA bundled out for 115 runs in 19.5 overs after England won the toss and opted to bowl first. Reece Topley gets the wicket of Andries Gous in the first over. Steven Taylor and Nitish Kumar tried to build a partnership but England bowlers got their wicket after 34 runs partnership.

Corey Anderson scored 29 runs off 28 balls but other batters failed to contribute to the team’s total.  Chris Jordan gets his first T20 World Cup hat-trick as the USA bowled out for 115. Jordan picked up 4 wickets and Sam Curran and Adil Rashid also got two wickets each.
