Hardik Pandya unlikely to play in Duleep Trophy

Several India regulars, including the likes of Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel are likely to feature in the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024. However, Hardik Pandya, who has stopped playing Test cricket after making himself unavailable for the longest format, is unlikely to turn up in the domestic long-format tournament.

India’s Test skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli might also turn up in the Duleep Trophy, however, the BCCI and the selectors have left the decision on the senior duo to decide whether they want to play in the domestic tournament or not. The Duleep Trophy is seen as preparatory ground for the Indian players who will feature in the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh starting September 19.
